Entec has been monitoring the situation with the WannaCry worm and has taken the appropriate steps to ensure this virus does not proliferate within our customer base. To date Entec Systems has seen no infections of the WannaCry worm within its customer base. As a managed service customer of Entec Systems, security protocols are followed to ensure security against known threats.
These protocols are:
- Blocking of all SMB traffic at the Firewall
- Maintaining current patches on all supported Operating Systems
- Enhanced Email filtering
- Current Anti-Virus Software
If an infection does occur, the proper Disaster Recovery protocols are in place for customers running the Datto Suite of products.
